I know I need to do that...which means taking the time, and the funds, to do so. I just can't consider Europe (or Australia/New Zealand) based upon their authoritarian tendencies shown over the last 4 years.

Can Central and South America be more distanced from the WEF influence and scrutiny?

Not excited to see Milei traveling to Davos! Argentina would be a beautiful place but no way would I live in such an unstable economy. Both Costa Rica and Mexico appear high on any ex-pat list.

Timezone differential and cost of living are considerations, too...although I hear places like Portugal are pretty reasonable...and Madeira has some Bitcoin support.

Point is ex-iron curtain is to authoritarian west europe as rural Texas/Wyoming is to DC/NYC.

madeira is great and there is a strong movement towards autonomy from portugal

many times looked at newspaper stands seeing "autonomia" and articles about "eliminating dependency on tourism"

there is probably other places but i think that this island is small enough and the groundswell big enough that we could liberate this place from most of the influence of the fiat world, if they found a way to bring enough wealth into the place and could say GFY to PT and EU
