The fact that the FDA allows this garbage nutrition labeling is part of the problem with the American obesity epidemic. 0 calorie avocado oil. Lolwut? This bottle alone contains over 1200 calories worth of avocado oil. 134g of oil in the bottle x 9 calories per gram of fat. All food could be considered 0 calorie if I just add enough servings to the label. 🤦♂️
In a past life I learnt the hard way about misleading US labelling. The VOC Content of paint is a big deal for occupational health hazards. In UK there was product with 0.2% VOC Content, brilliant. A US company stormed the market with 0% VOC, even more brilliant - so we thought, until we learned that the US allowed manufacturers to state 0% for anything under 5%. Bastards! I hope that has changed, if not, that's a lot of fumes going into millions of unsuspecting lungs. What could possibly go wrong!?
