No I don't want to start a new thread.

I just haven't seen or heard of many homeschoolers being in STEM programs, maybe arts or something like that but not engineering or science.

I also find it ironic to homeschool I until they need to actually learn something

You're not in the USA, right? Homeschooling is very popular and advanced, there.

I used to tutor homeschoolers with high school coursework, like the classics and geometry. The parents figure it out, and there is a lot of self-teaching coursework.

Most of the tertiary students are foreigners from Asia

Sure, if the parents are well educated then it's possible to teach them but if you're a tutor then what's the difference between you vs a teacher teaching the kids?

I haven't come across any home schooled children in University, their GPAs aren't high enough to get into STEM programs unless the parents are STEM as well ( but then teaching their kids would take a large part of their time so idk how they'd have working careers on top of homeschool)

Either the parents themselves don't know the coursework or they don't have the time to do full classes. It's impossible to balance a good education and a full time job
