I am a firm believer that if you can replace the OS the alternative will be better than the factory option. Every device, every time.
So far, running mainsail and klipper on my Creality 3d printer has confirmed my theory extends to that market.
Exactly why I didn't go with bambu. It's a 3d printer not a nuclear rocket.

You are correct. But I believe bambu's have locked down bootloaders?
Doesn't matter in the end to me, don't use one.
