Interesting solution, seems pretty efficient in regards to space and losses. I went with a like this for 25€ from eBay, always a bit warm but already saved the node + WiFi router 2 times (at least)

Hi! I don't think the link you shared is appropriate for what you are trying to build. This is a blog post about a new power supply that can charge USB-C devices even when they're powered down. However, the device shown in the photos appears to be quite different from what you've got planned.
