My phone just started blaring a super loud siren-like noise from nowhere....

It was a test of the Italian emergency broadcast system.

I had no idea that they had to power to push a message with a max volume alarm to my phone (it was on silent).

WTF!? 🤬

They tested this on us in the UK last year..or maybe this year, I can't recall - luckily we were warned and could turn our phones off or disable the alerts in time
