#Plebs, I need some advice. I'm slowly trying to #PurplePill, and I have not yet perfected my words when explaining what #Nostr is.

Do you think it's necessary for me to explain that Nostr is a protocol and then try to explain, in the simplest way possible, the difference between a protocol and an app?

- This might result in some confusion and a longer onboarding process.

Alternatively, do you think I should just avoid possibly confusing my friends and go with their idea of calling Nostr an app?

- In the future, they might ask me why I didn't explain the difference 🥵🤷‍♀️.

If I had a friend that was interested in #Nostr I would meet them where they are. In the future, when they understand more, they’ll likely understand why you didn’t explain the difference.

Sometimes we don’t need to understand everything about something to use it. There are countless people today that use HTTP and can’t explain a thing about it. 🤙
