Because laws are written for the old paradigm.
Because Nostr has never existed before.

PageRank has existed for decades and somehow, no one has used it on social media platforms. They have at least some incentive to make their platforms spam free.
If they could but didn't, why? Because WoT is a suboptimal solution.
There is nothing related to regulations that prevents this.
Now I’m curious. What is suboptimal about WoT?
