I read headlines and then attempt to think through why I’m being presented this specific information/narrative at this specific time.
This is a costly & inefficient method, but it gets me closer to truth than attempting to triangulate between different sources.
This is by far the way.

I’d also add when you consider that you end up closer to the truth it’s not all that costly and the inefficiency is a bonus.
This is what most seeking the easy, instant option are missing. And is also why they are so easily mislead.
