I've determined that I am not qualified for the title "bitcoin Maxi" based on my understanding of Nostr consensus and simple self examination.

After multiple software failures, attempts to run my own lightning node multiple times, and losing aaaaaalot of money, I honestly can't justify using the non-custodial lightning options that have come highly recommended on Nostr. I've literally lost more money due to technical issues (like Zeus recovery cipher seed failures) than I had ever held at any one time on Alby. In other words, had I simply stuck to Alby and had my funds rugged at any point in time, I would have lost less than I would have exploring non-custodial wallet options for the sake of becoming "unruggable".

So anyways, the title I initially thought was simply earned by surviving several bear markets, running your own node, and being Bitcoin Only seems to fall short.

I think a maxi is born when you determine you will be self sovereign, no matter the pain or cost. I'm just simply not there yet.
