Maybe I think that way because I'm an incorrigible goldbug, but lots of people running state and corporate treasuries are gold bugs.

I mean, everywhere there are USD or gold reserves, they'll eventually have to switch them out for Bitcoin, or they'll go bankrupt.

This isn't how anything works. The most fundamental currency is energy. USD is the reserve currency because it's the petrodollar. Gold reserves haven't backed the USD or most other currencies since the 1970s.
