Do you have A LIGHTNIG wallet. First step is to get one of those. If you dont have one wallet of satoshi is probably easiest. Keep in mind this is a custodial wallet so never keep large amounts on here. As you learn more you will migrate to there solutions hopefully non custodial

I always try and use lightning to buy where possible. No friction instant settlement. Spend and replace. Help the circular network grow.

This is me being ignorant: I have never once seen anything for sale that I've been interested in that I could buy with crypto. I legit find more stuff I can and want to buy with metals than crypto.

Yes I agree. It’s growing tho and more and more platforms accepting lightning. It does require a little work.

The starting point for everyone is different because of their back ground.

Is there someone close to you like a friend or family member that you trust and are into BTC? If so I would start there.

Nope. Not really. Once friend made money off of doge on a lark, but I don't think he's got any other crypto.
