Remember when BTC was at $69k ?
Discussion
I remember when it was $1. What's your point?
His point is he does not understand exponential and log scale networks
The long-term trend of Bitcoin will always be one of increasing value, because math. I don't care what it does in the short term.
It’s going to prices that nobody can comprehend
21 million / ♾️
The fiat exchange rate is irrelevant other than for converting as much of your fiat to Bitcoin as fast as you can, and for that you want it to stay lower for longer. All the fiat currencies are FUCKED. What's important, is what can I buy with my Bitcoin?
I'm holding in cold storage until I can do shit like pay a down payment on a house directly in sats. I used to trade a lot and constantly watch price and it was a waste of time and wealth.
Been over 2 years and lost what, over 50% of it's value?
When it has an CAGR of 200% who the fuck cares about 1 year of 50% losses

It's weird the Coinbase chart on TV only goes back to 2015. I was buying Bitcoin on Coinbase back in 2012.
Wish i knew about it back then
Didn’t get in until 2017 but i have been DCAing in since then and frankly haven’t had a betting ROI
Never sold a sat and never will
A prepper friend first told me about it in 2011. I kinda pushed it off into the back of my mind and didn't start looking into it until later in 2012. But there's a lot of survivalist prepper types that are digital millionaires now because they found out about Bitcoin early and clued into it right away.
One of my HS friends was buying and selling drugs with it
He lost 2000 bitcoin on mt gox
So glad I never traded on MtGox!
That place was so sketchy even long before it collapsed. It’s the main reason I stayed away from bitcoin as long as I did.
He was in anger management classes for a long time
I worked for a jap company that was 1 or 2 floors from MtGOX in Shibuya
Did u see all the protesters outside building when it collapsed?
No, I had no idea what MtGOX was at the time, then a year later I think, it was all over news
There were only 2 types of people in bitcoin back then :
1. Tech nerds
2. Drug dealers
And everyone who read https://survivalblog.com/ back then.
There are so many preppers living in cabins in the middle of nowhere who are digital millionaires now because they got into Bitcoin so early. Most of them stack gold and silver too. And bullets. Lots and lots of bullets. The three currencies of the apocalypse.
Why would anyone need more than 3000 rounds ?
Plus if you have a gun just go over to people who had Biden / Harris signs and take their food in an apocalypse scenario
Yeah Coinbase was the only one that never sent up red flags in the back of my mind. But then, a few years ago they started listing shitcoins like crazy. They kinda lost their way. I wouldn't trust them anymore. I don't do custody exchanges anymore. I only buy from services that send the Bitcoin directly to a wallet that I control.
First: Lower your time preference & dive deeper because the value is immense...
Lastly, denominating a deflationary digital asset with inflationary cuckbucks is wholly asinine.
I'll link a good resource so you may understand this monetary technology better: https://bitcoin-only.com/
