I’m looking to start an e-commerce jewellery business. I’d like to ask people here how much they pay for jewellery typically be it natural diamonds, gold, lab diamonds, etc. Your inputs would help me understand how many of general public buys overpriced ‘brand’ jewellery and further help me to price it better.

Market value of gold and other stuffs + bit more for design.

The biggest concern for me regarding online jewellery is not price but confidence and authenticity.

As a Business student i wanna pop a question to you. What actions would you take to make me believe that gold i bought is real gold. How does a business gain trust? I can't even buy silver online scams run rampant. Ooof

Hallmarking done at designated assay offices in the UK (as I’m in UK) that put in the code indicating the carat of gold and also silver. Hallmarking is the key to authenticating purity of gold.
