Is this a workshop to get devs going with Nostr, or bitcoiners/normies onboarded?
Discussion
It's slanted more towards devs and builders of other types. Basically, how do you get people who want to contribute (not just use apps) excited.
I think the NDK 10 minute startup goal is a great one. If it’s a workshop where everyone builds a simple client and then messages and zaps each other with their custom client, it could spark a lot of excitement. But maybe that’s the perspective of a newb like me.
I’m not really a dev (you’ve seen my project) but what excites me about building on Nostr is that it’s very simple to understand.
And then it’s very simple to get started building. And it’s really amazing when you see fetched notes in your app with minimal code.
The protocol is so general that the applications are endless and everyone benefits from the network effects.
I’m hatching another plan for a project to bring in more content creators. For that, I would focus on built in funding/payments and full control over content. Plus the current state of Nostr culture.
TBH, I don’t know why a builder/dev wouldn’t at least try Nostr, unless what they want to build is not technically possible.
Also, shoutout to the Nostr dev community (including you) which is extremely welcoming.
