Takeda wins Japan classic in thrilling six-hole playoff

Rio Takeda has claimed her first LPGA tour title, defeating American Marina Alex in a marathon six-hole sudden death playoff at the Japan Classic. The 21-year-old forced the tie with a birdie on the 18th hole, and then sealed the win with another birdie on the final hole.
