nostr:npub18kzz4lkdtc5n729kvfunxuz287uvu9f64ywhjz43ra482t2y5sks0mx5sz I am trying to undarstand how filter.nostr.wine works. Do I need to remove all other relays for filtering to work? I was surprised to notice that my global page already looks much better just after adding the filter.

Hey! You don’t *need* to remove other relays but if you’d like you CAN remove the ones on our read/broadcast list and you’ll have the same content with less latency and duplicates.

Depending on your client, you can also limit which relays you are reading from in which views. For example, Damus let’s you choose which relays you want to read “universe” from. Amethyst let’s you control relays in each view. Snort let’s you choose one relay at a time to browse in global. Lots of options!

Thanks, I did not know that. I am using Amethyst, it has lots of hidden features 😅 So, how does filtering work if I am connected to other relays? Why is spam getting supressed if other relays still serve the conntent.

Oh - sorry, it isn’t! Filter.nostr.wine can only control what you get from filter, not any other relay. Your feed may appear better just because of the increase of real content as a percentage.

Yes that makes more sense, but I was hopping you do some relay magic.
