Friend dot Tech, Decentralized Social Media?

Friend Tech has gained notoriety, raising some 3.9 million ETH in one week. But is it legit or scam?

The friendtech client works directly with your (X) account, so there is no need to download through the app store, so that's a plus. Because it works through a Blockchain this should make it more resistant to censorship - another plus.

So what's the downside? For starters, unlike a nostr client, you will need to deposit .01 ETH (≈63,400 sats) just to try out the app. Also, according to Heidi of Crypto Tips, the app can autopost without your consent. 😐

So this is a hard pass for me, but what are your thoughts on this?🤔
