Thing is, he is just one dude. If he were to go away another just like him would take his place. It's society that is a threat to itself. We need a better way to punish/prevent bad actors from hurting human civilization. A better societal immune system so to say.

For example, a cancer cell just wants to live forever but will eventually kill it's host and fail it's goal anyway. A good immune system kills these cells everyday of your life. It's only when your immune system is tricked into thinking these cells are fine that it gets into trouble

And I have no idea how to go about fixing this issue btw. Maybe technology can help.
