I have the same concern sometimes.
There's a lot about whats happened to my country and scoiety in general i'd like to post but I'd get dogpiled if i do.
A lot of people take for granted how easy they have it regarding state interference in thier lives...

What's the mood in UK over the last few days particularly surrounding the street gatherings this weekend?
Ugly.
Bordering between sectarian violence and out right civil war.
If two tier keir clamps down i expect a lot of bombings and general terror attacks over the next five years.

The MDL all dressed in black, masked up gathering in Bolton looks particularly ominous.
Plus they were armed with swords, knives, machettes.
The police told them "they were there to protect the muslim community"....
It's certainly quite puzzling to watch that and then try to understand the reasons behind the state's stance.
Its been a blairite state since 96.. we've only changed managers.
Simply put, all minorites are victims of white, far right nationalist oppression.
Therefore the soloution is to destroy all white culture, white people as a native majority and replace it all with an amphous blob of multiculturism.
It's bizarre. Watching the livestreams this last two days and one thing I've noticed is that there looks like a big difference between the organisation/logistic skills of the two groups. The scenes from Middlesborough and Bolton right now a good example.
Maybe Brits have become too soft as the last time they fought on home soil was, ironically, vs the Angles, Saxons, Normans and Vikings! I jest but I do sense less cohesion, not surprising given what you mention about the govt.
Don't worry mate i wasn't offended, your quite right about being soft. But i think thats a more western priblem in general.
To give you an idea of how bad things are here this might be an example.
If my daughter is gangraped, forcibly hooked on herion and pimped out by a muslim gang, reporting it to the police could be considered the crime of "inciting racial hatred" .
If i speak out in public thats comitting "hate speech".
If my employer finds out i would be sacked.
If the local community finds out I've said anything, my family would be attacked and my house bricked or firebombed.

And i can be imprisoned for 5 years for simply having it in my possession.

Is there a large % of people in UK who brush off those issues as "hyperbolic" or do you think the majority are aware and want a change?
The majority want change but they get labelled as "far right", "racist" " insert -phobic" so after decades of that some are rioting.
The minority that would brush stuff as ^see above^ are in charge in wesrminster.
