I think there are several countries that have restrictions like that. It seems crazy to me, but also not at all surprising that governments want to have control over what children learn.
Children are the most impressionable. Indoctrination by the State is most effective at young ages.

💯 And not just the State. Everything: tv shows, movies, books, kids videos online, kids video games, etc. Everybody wants to get their ideological claws into your kids’ minds.
and then there's me - I really just want my child to have their own mind and make their own decisions
