I had never heard of kidneywood and went down a bit of a Wikipedia rabbit hole… this effect sounds amazing! I don’t know if all kidneywoods can do it, though it’s apparently also found in other Fabaceae plants

I've heard that it has medicinal uses for the kidneys, thus the name, but had not read about it changing the color of water. Interesting.
