If this goes as planned, my wife and I will be enjoying life A LOT. That’s the concern!

None of my business but a tool that has helped me immensely is knowing where it all goes so I can then prioritize. I’ve used You Need A Budget (YNAB) for 12 years and it pays for itself about a thousand times over.

You’re welcome. It converts the blob of your checking account into many specific bite sized pieces that a human can actually manage. Managing small line items adds up to improved overall spending control.
