I immidiately see how the small head caps would be lost, rendering the battery fully useless. Also, the usb-port takes away so much space that it impacts the battery life. Sorry to be dismissive. :D Recargeable batteries are really cool.

I use "ikea ladda" rechargeable batteries or similar all the time. They have a separate charger unit. I like the self-sufficiency those give. I do not need to rely on buying new batteries all the time.

I even have an electric toothbrush that runs on these. It is more long-living than "integrated battery" models. Those reach end-of-life in about 2 years as the intergrated battery detoriates.
