While I agree with what he said, did he forget BTC is for everyone and it was only a matter of time before these bankers politicians and tradfi people would show up? The next wave of adopters won’t look or act like the last wave, and they will have different agendas too, and they won’t be asking for permission.
I think he understands that. He was just saying that this is a Bitcoin conference, which should reflect Bitcoin values and ideas. And that is not "regulate us harder daddy, we want NgU".
Bitcoin is inherently anti-hierarchy and anti-central banking and that is clear since the beginning.
Of course politicians want to collect points and not everyone who uses Bitcoin will agree. We can't stop them and don't want to stop them.
But we don't also need to listen to them at a Bitcoin conference, let them talk about it at some statist cocktail party or wherever these people meet.
