yes. it IS email, but to prevent spammer abuse, the app doesn't allow outgoing emails unless these are encrypted. only incoming plain email. very useful for me. i don't spam. only problem is their subdomain isn't dmarc or dkim approved or any of the other email censorship acronyms!
