In 304 AD, Bishop Irineu stood firm before Emperor Maximian, refusing to offer pagan sacrifices. Tortured and pressured, he remained steadfast in his #faith. When threatened with his family's demise, Irineu declared his family was Christ and all believers. Condemned, he was beheaded near the Sava River.
