The questions are : how do you make your heirs inherit ? WHat happens if the ledger object doesn't work (do you save passphrase somewhere else under what form ?) ?

In the scenario that the Ledger device does not work, or is no longer available, the mnemonic phrase can be used in any other cold wallet that supports BIP39 mnemonic phrases.
So the best way to ensure your heirs inherit your precious #Bitcoin? Stamp your mnemonic phrase in titanium/steel and bury it in your yard.
