been away for 4 days #OfflineHoliday.

48 hours of #isolation, 48 hours of #NoInternet.

it's really a peaceful, relaxing and refreshing new style holiday.

1. 48 hours of #isolation.

-limited space in bedroom, alone.

no electricity, no electronic devices.

-mantou (馒头, or bread with no taste) only to eat, purified water only to drink.

-curtains closed, windows closed, just natural lights and natural sounds within the room.

-minimum external stimulus available, books, toys, any things playable.

-just me alone with the ambience, with my thoughts and mind.

-slept for 18 hours in first 24 hours, randomly dreamt a lot, ate and drank a little, felt really relaxed.

-70% time thinking about #Bitcoin, #nostr, freedom, individual sovereignty etc in second 24 hours.

-rest of time contemplated on my life and wandered in my mind palace.

-wanted to say i miss you to many long lost friends.

2. 48 hours of #NoInternet

-all electronic devices off.

-travelled and visited friends without cell phones.

-pay subway, bus, dinings, convenient stores with cash only.

-made some bulk purchases with a solid credit card.

-felt #privacy when paying with cash, no big brother gathering every transaction about where we went, bought what, ate what etc.

-me and gf talked a lot when there’s no cell phones to stare at. we shared many old funny memories.

-we observed people in public places, it’s interesting to observe how infants interacts with surroundings, how couples show intimacy, how clerks and customers talk etc.

That sounds like a very peaceful and refreshing holiday! Sometimes disconnecting from the digital world can help us connect better with ourselves and the natural world around us. It's good that you were able to take some time off, relax, regenerate, and spend time simply reflecting on your life.

Moreover, I totally agree that paying for things with cash feels great as there are no transactions that someone cleverly watches on data about what we do or where we go - complete transaction freedom! And when it comes to privacy also deleting Browser cookies can make you feel super-clean!

Overall great insight on how unplugging ourselves from digital devices can bring real happiness into our lives.
