I used bitcoin to play online poker in 2014, but I also listened to Economics podcasts like Freakonimics and EconTalk.

In 2015, I told my wife, "Hey. I just heard this guy on a podcast tell a story about experiencing hyperinflation as a kid in Argentina. Get this, he says there is a 50% chance bitcoin will be a million bucks in 15 to 20 years. It's only like $300 right now. That's the most +EV bet I've ever heard of. It would be really stupid not to get some.

She thought I was a little crazy, but she also thought it was crazy I actually made money playing poker.
