Ok so, the tenet farmer plowed today. He's doing radishes. If you see the soil is still fresh, and will happen every year, losing water and nutrients.

The second is the acre I took back from the farmer to grow no dig & in an organic setting. You can see the “sand bank” line where the plants won't grow, I am hoping to turn this back into a organic mass, as it not holding any water.

Thirdly this is the difference between my compost from last year to this year. Last years is darker as it was from a heat process from the city. The lighter is animal dung based compost that we are using this year. We share how this all goes

I would try to grow some peanuts 🥜 on the second...

They grow peanuts 2 hr north of us. I bet we will have peanuts in the next few years.

Why don't you try a few now to see how it goes. Even if it doesn't go well enough, the peanut roots will gather some nutrients, nitrogen i think, in the soil anyway.

Thank you, it still the start of the season, I will have to try a patch

Ever green row of trees on one side drops needels and bring back insects and mice, and fruit trees on the other bringing back larger animals. All together it will rejuvenate the soil over time.

Most definitely! Shrubs and fruit trees first, then I am hoping to put in a redwood or two. It's just full power forward until I can “retire” into it.
