Other than it being unattractive to see a toilet seat up, why is “the toilet seat up” seemingly a trigger for so many? I never did get this.

Full disclosure: I prefer the toilet seat and lid closed. I think it looks more orderly when you enter a bathroom. It’s just my preference. I’m intentional about closing both the seat and the lid.

With that said, other than aesthetics why do you believe it’s so troubling to some folks to see a toilet seat up?

i think it’s just when men pee they forget to put the lid down resulting in accidents.

Also, leaving the lid open when you flush lets aerosols from the toilet water float into the air.
