Dietz suggests there is a power asymmetry from this emergent governance via contract, which may allow for dishonest actors to take actions that are net negative.
This is where bitcoin comes into play... when all real world economic activity is a short on bitcoin, there is an urgency to get OUT of the market, so dishonest actors will on average find their short positions degraded over time.
