I have the same thing with cameras. Fuji figured it out and released all of their retro inspired X-series models with manual dials and aperture rings. I bought the first x100 model just for the manual (old-fashioned) control.

I hope a car maker goes down that road, even if niche, back to a more customized and tactile control.

Or I will just have to look for older cars worth restoring as I age, I suppose.
