If someone have spare energy from renewable sources make sense use it to mine? If yes, as I suppose, what return one can achieve for kWh and which is the suggested setup?

I use 3 S9's to heat my house in the winter. depending on the price of bitcoin, i mine during the summer in my garage if it's profitable, if not, i use at least 1 of them as a space heater in the basement.

i also am using a renewable energy provider, which ends up giving me cheaper electricity in volume compared to the rates from my local provider.

so, yes, to answer your question, it does make sense to mine if you have excess energy. excess energy is wasted energy.

Thanks!

I suppose you joined a mining pool, right? Any suggestion about that? Can you share any data about profictabily?

i use braiins pool. they have a nice profitability calculator on their website that you can use.

🙌 you da man

I run 1 s9 on free power and I generate around 5000 sats a day

Nice. Pools suggestion?

I just went with Braiins/Slushpool bc the guy I got it from had already installed it and fine tuned it for me, so it was plug and play ready, all I had to do was change my pool name and payout address
