Recognize that saying sorry when unnecessary actually devalues a true apology. Instead of saying “sorry” think “I apologize” or “excuse me” and if there is not a reason to truly apologize, excuse yourself and move on. If you’re saying sorry too often, you’re most like apologizing for existing, and deserve more respect than your giving yourself. Appreciate and respect your existence, it isn’t something to apologize about.
