There are of course Facefuckbook groups here for this kinda thing, but my wife is not sure how many scams there are, they are around of course but also many people are genuine :-)

Street dogs here are self owned too, some seek owners out actually, like the guards at the compound or the barber shop outside. She had a dog coming to her that gradually moved in haha!

Many feed dogs at regular spots and then put collars on them so that they won’t be killed or taken away, they’re still self owned and roaming free, but “officially owned” hehe

We’ve also visited a shelter for old dogs that won’t be adopted, it’s owned and funded by a woman who runs an upscale kennel, she didn’t even want donations… Maybe I should post those clips here and elsewhere, she’d like that other dogs get funded for sure :-)

Running an old dogs home out of your own funds with no attention wanted, this is the kind of thing you can find here way outside of the tourist ghettos… Goes back to Buddhism a lot of this of course.
