I’ve been thinking about #[0] and ChatGPT. Won’t this drive all software to be FOSS? What’s the point in charging for software or making it closed source when anyone with access to AI can do what you probably did with AI in the first place?

All software will be open source at some point

Cost of production trends towards zero and people working with open source software can simply provide more value

Yes - been saying this for awhile.

I’m still catching up. 😂 Thank you for Price of Tomorrow.

Why ask the AI to deliver code when you can ask the AI to simply perform the task. In fact for most tasks I can think of if a human computer interface were needed that human role would be a candidate for assimilation and replacement by an AI. AI is the ultimate software as a service or 'service as a service'.
