that's actually a sign of intelligence and maturity. "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it" ( apparently Aristotle never said that, but it's very true anyway ).
to most issues there are AT LEAST two sides and BOTH are wrong. meanwhile a person of average intelligence will simply accept the first position he is exposed to and fight all the other ones, sometimes to the death, because challenging one's assumptions isn't something an average person is capable of.
religion is the obvious example. people of average intelligence simply accept the religion they are taught by their parents and then fight to the death those who have other faiths because they were born to different parents. few question whether their religion is wrong, or if BOTH religions in a conflict are wrong, which is of course the case.
this is the basis for divide and conquer strategy. neither side is physically cable of questioning itself. they will fight to the death and then you just waltz in and take over the ruins. this is how the two party system works in America. two parties fight each other tooth and nail forever, meanwhile Klaus Schwab, WEF and the ( Jew ) Globalists just get what they ordered on a silver platter.
of course in case of the two party system the Politicians, Propagandists, Influencers etc. all know the game but the people are dumb animals and do not know. same as how it is in any other conflict.
to be able to step back and say i don't actually understand what is going on and why and will not partake in atrocities on behalf of "my" side because i'm not sure what "my" side is, or if there even is one ... is an important first step the average person is not physically capable of taking.
in my cases i learned about it through trying different diets as well as different political ideologies. after you try enough of them you realize they are all religions and all run contrary to reason. because ideologies do not represent reality as it is, but human nature as it is. human nature is brain dead tribalism and the intuitive notion that if we hurt "the other side" enough everything will be fine. this logic would work if two packs of wolves came into contact with each other but in a complex society it just opens you up to being manipulated from above.
Robert Greene covered this topic well in "The Laws of Human Nature" book.
