Nostalgia: Talkboy - It's not often that a movie prop is licensed for a crossover toy line. But that's exactly what happened when Tiger Electronics made Talkboy for the movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. You may recall that Kevin McCallister uses the Talkboy to change the sound of his voice at various points in the film, but surprisingly, the original retail version did not include this feature. Fortunately, Tiger Electronics responded quickly and retrofitted this feature. This resulted in Talkboy becoming one of the hottest toys of the 1993 Christmas season! There was even a pink version called Talkgirl that was launched in 1995. The design was improved again and again until the patent was finally abandoned in 1999.
