but I saw from another account on X who uses Primal, which looks a lot like X.
What app are you using to read this?
We have “likes” on #nostr, see screenshot of my notifications in Damus.
But we prefer “zaps” - sending small amounts of Bitcoin to good posts.
You need to setup a Bitcoin Lightning wallet to receive zaps though. Download https://www.walletofsatoshi.com , create an account, then press “Receive” and post a screenshot of your QR code and receiving address.

You’ll find your likes/replies/mentions etc all under the bell icon in the bottom right of your screen.
If you download Wallet of Satoshi and want to add your wallet here;
- tap your profile in top left
- tap profile
- paste your WalletOfSatoshi address in the field
Primal is likely easier for you to use but you do have to do basic KYC for their bitcoin wallet. Damus + Wallet of Satoshi is probably ok though too

Do you know why I have no followers showing in Primal?
Click/tap on the Follower button and it'll show you the real (possibly) number.
Yes I did that but nothing shows up. That’s just in Primal, not in Damus (I’m still trying to work out which one to use).
Everyone's use case is different and so are their preferences. Use what works for you. If #Damus works for you, then use that. If it's #Primal, then use that. Whatever works for you. The main thing is, they all inter-operate. So whatever client you choose, you won't be left behind.
On another note, the next time you have a question, use the tag #AskNostr. Using this tag will make your question more discoverable and you'll rather get answer faster.
