and those who do good and work hard are punished, while those who do bad and are lazy are rewarded. No wonder things are going downhill so fast.

I blame everyone else for this.
I might be terribly wrong but I think it’s quite the opposite. hiper accountability is the issue I see. perhaps only for a due niche, oke, yet: increasing censorship and control seem to corroborate my point.
The issue might also be that no one trusts the Boomer generation.
And we wonder why are freedom is being eroded.
