until they’re 18. people willingly purchasing their children smartphones and ipads and letting them online all day unsupervised is the real issue. parents are hoping the internet will do their jobs for them.

I agree about the age thing but that’s not the real issue bc we both know we didn’t start using the internet or social media at 18 and to say others should when we didn’t is kind of ironic.. my mom doesn’t know any better, she didn’t know what I’d be exposed to ( most mothers didn’t/don’t) this is about awareness, nothing more, nothing less.
