Running your own relay(self hosted) is rewarding and honestly not that hard. It could take in as much or as little data as you like.

Cool stuff, but for me personally, If I had to use someone else's computer I'd just use a paid relay. The whole point is for the thing to run on my machine and write to my hard drive 😛

We need youtube tutorials. I consider myself technical person but I gave up setting up my personal relay multiple times.

Besides that, people hit another obstacle... Docker, Rust...

Right now, you need to be a senior dev to set up a relay imo. We need simple setups so even junior devs can handle them.

What I want, is spinning a relay on my Raspberry pi with a 1- 10TB HD drive attached to it :) I don't wanna pay for another VPS.

I ran nostr-rs-relay on a local machine with a cloudflared tunnel for months, no need to pay anyone a sat. Feel free to AMA.
