I have a coworker who is an immigrant from Argentina. She is working here now but wants to go back.
She talks about inflation like it’s just a thing that happens. She watched her parents exchange pesos for dollars and hoard gold.
This is a corrosive thing about inflation.
As with any kind of abuse, you can get used to it.
A woman could say, “I know my husband hits me but my mother was abused too. It’s how it is. The best way to defend is put your hands up.”
Ok, but what if you didn’t have to defend yourself from your husband?
This is ideal!
The issue is with the victim not even realizing the possibility of a reality without abuse.
When I tell her that Bitcoin fixes rampant inflation and corrupt government fuckery…she looks skeptical. That’s too good to be true, right?
You can have a partner who doesn’t abuse you, emotionally or physically. This is possible. We shouldn’t tolerate anything less for ourselves.
And we can also have sound money!
People can save for the future and protect their wealth. This isn’t a fantasy.
