If you do a lot of solo riding a ways from home, I highly recommend carrying a GPS capable phone, an extra spark plug, plug wrench, basic tools, hydration pack, a couple of energy bars, Israeli dressing, combat application tourniquet, compact foil emergency blanket and a road flare for starting fire. And let someone know your approximate destination and when they should consider you “overdue”. Learned a few of these the hard way. And a lot of riding boots, while pretty much essential armour for protecting your lower legs from impalement from objects and footpegs, aren’t fun putting miles on foot. Been saved a few times by a chest plate and helmet too. 🤙🏽
