I think in the near term, they lean into what’s familiar: centralized tech platforms/products.

For a few reasons:

It’s what they know and what they’ve grown to look for and use.

It comes from places and people they’re familiar with.

Builders and VCs in that space are trained to go for what can be monetized the fastest in the existing financial system.

Lastly, freedom tech will continue to face an onslaught of FUD propaganda and most fiat tech bros take that as gospel.

They will opt for what can be moderated [censored] so nobody’s feelings get hurt and to ensure they don’t disrupt their echo chamber and have to dust their brains off.

Long term - I think the same forces that drive us to freedom tech will continue to drive others.

Thanks for that. I personally struggle with the David vs Goliath story because the collective perception is numbers & size matters.

Tough to face Goliath and tell him to fuck off & he’s wrong. Even though it’s facts.

The convention being “Goliath is bigger, so he should win”

Microsoft is bigger; therefore Windows is the most adopted OS.

Practically only cypherpunks use & build on it. Even I don’t use it. I choose the convenience & familiarity of a PC.

So I wonder if this would translate to bitcoin & Nostr adoption 🧐
