Fair. Gab just feels like I'd be stepping into a cuckservative echo chamber and there's no reason to do that. I already lose my patience with the extreme anti vax ppl on the fedi, I imagine gab is a million times worse.

Honestly ban evading on Twitter is probably the best solution. I tend to find as many based people there as I did on the fedi but I don't have to pretend to like anime porn to fit in.

It’s just hard to ban evade on Twitter these days. Google Voice numbers are increasingly hit or miss and my phone number is banned from even that.

If I could be on Twitter I probably would.

You’re kind of right about Gab. The culture was never great, but now it’s pretty much all Boomers. But there are more people, if you can find a niche you’ll get a lot more engagement there. I used to get literally 5 times as much attention on Gab for the exact same posts, but all of my frens there had kids and stopped posting lol

While I understand that Gab's stance pushes away free speech advocates, I think it also solves a huge legal problem. You don't need to worry about whether or not someone is over 18 if you don't allow any pornographic material to be uploaded. CSAM is going to be a problem that nostr has to find a way to deal with in the very near future, if it isn't already being uploaded.

I don't believe in free expression or free speech but porn is neither anyway. It's harmful and there are countless men who have been hurt by consuming it and countless women who have been hurt by producing it.
