Hmm. I need to think on this more. When you say some people are good at it subconsciously, that just makes me think that the behavior is more automated / ingrained in their mind so they don't need to think about it. Kind of like the race car driver who feels one with the vehicle after going a bunch of laps around the track.

Interestingly, nurture plays a significant part in human development. Feral children who do not learn after being brought from the wild often don't survive for long. You could say they also exhibit no creativity whatsoever being feral.

But, it sure feels like there are some people who seem to tap into some other element other than learned behavior - they can take what they know and create something new and fascinating that does not necessarily resemble the old thing. Perhaps they are just better at accessing different parts of their brain / memory and combining different thoughts to form something that translates into a unique thing. There are definitely sparks of genius that move societies forward. No doubt some of that is attributed to just lots and lots of practice. Now I wonder if creativity is even a thing...
