You're right. Many people are tired of the games and the lies. Many are also so dependent on the system, they can't afford to lose their jobs or marriages by rocking the boat too hard.

Elite did this by design.

There is a time and place to publish with a real name and face. You're right that not everyone can.

The only way out is to adopt a lifestyle so extreme in the eyes of others, most would think you're mentally ill, and those with kids or health issues can't. Most people just can't.

If I didn't feel an obligation to help my family in this life, I would be living that way already.

I struggle with it, honestly.

Namely: You live out of a backpack and wander from place to place, living in a cash, barter, or gift economy only, never filing taxes, never paying medical bills, never renewing identification documents, and never applying for anything requiring a SSN.

Now that I understand Bitcoin a little better, well, you wouldnt be penniless living that way.

I don't know how to fix it on a wide scale.

A boat doesn't necessarily need to be rocked hard to change course. Unfortunately, being unwilling to rock the boat at all will only lead to a more difficult time in the long run. I think doing nothing is worse for my family than protesting. Of course, everyone has to pick their battles. I still pay taxes and hospital bills (I'm not sure how that fits, as you're paying for a voluntary service), but I'm not willing to stop speaking what I believe to be true. I will openly criticize taxes, Social Security, etc. I do everything I can to minimize those things in my country. I don't mean that people should disobey every law they disagree with, only that they should civilally disobey in accordance with their own principles and risk tolerance. You should do what you are comfortable with. There is no one size fits all approach to civil disobedience. You can support the movement as you see fit.

Makes sense. Civil dobedience where you can. Healthy doses of malicious compliance, too.
